Zakhele Gininda is the Lead Financial Markets Specialist responsible for the reference rates reform initiative in the Market Operations and Analysis Division of the SARB’s Financial Markets Department. He joined the SARB in 2017 after spending more than a decade in prime broking in the Global Markets divisions of Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and Deutsche Bank. He was also a Senior Strategy Analyst at Nedbank CIB for about three and a half years.

Zakhele holds a Master of Development Finance degree from Stellenbosch University, a Master of Science degree in Quantitative Finance from the University of London, and a Master of Philosophy degree in Corporate Strategy from the University of Pretoria. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Science degree from the University of Cape Town.
